“I wanted to THANK YOU again for the Christmas help this year. The kids were so happy and enjoyed their gifts so much. I can never express how much I appreciate all of y’all and how thankful I am that my kids were able to wake up with big smiles Christmas morning.”
—Mom whose five children received gifts through our 2019 Spirit of Christmas program

THANKS TO ALL WHO CONTRIBUTED TO SNGA IN 2019
As we start the New Year, we wanted to thank all of our supporters, donors, volunteers and cheerleaders! We could never do what we do without you. Our seven programs help thousands of people each year, on a pretty tight budget.
In 2018, we assisted 127 families/individuals with beds, furniture and household items. That number increased to 151 in 2019, a significant jump. Thanks to your generosity, we rented more U-Haul trucks, paid more in labor and purchased more mattresses, box springs and other needed items.
We gave birthday and Christmas gifts to many more kids, continued to work with school social workers to supply clients with cleaning supplies, and distributed more than 1,000 Comfort Kits full of toiletries and other items to several local shelters.
Working with school social workers, we provided over 100 gift cards to enable children in need to have new shoes rather than hand-me-downs. We also supplied many school and other clothes closets with school uniforms.
In partnerships with Acworth-based nonprofit Give Homeless Hope, we worked to ensure that those who live in the woods had tents, sleeping bags and more.
Thank you all once again for your inspiring work in 2019. In the year ahead, let’s take it to the next level and reach even more people in need!
MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
Gratitude to the Glass family and their friends for using a recent family celebration to spread joy to people in need.
At the end of January, guests at a birthday party for now-4-year-old Berkley brought new toys, books, candles and other items to be donated to Simple Needs GA.

Most kids think of their birthdays as a time to receive things, but to teach Berkley a higher kind of joy, her family asked friends to donate to SNGA in lieu of oodles of stuff for Berkley. “Berkley said that giving to those in need makes her happy,” said her mom Veronica. “She likes helping people.”
Veronica has donated to SNGA in the past and volunteered at our warehouse with her son, London. “We so appreciate the Glass family’s generosity and kindness,” Brenda said. “They are giving their children the kind of values that can make this world a better place.”
THANKS GARRISON MILL!
The foundation for Garrison Mill Elementary School, 4111 Wesley Chapel Rd in Marietta, recently put together held a volunteer event in which a group of students [PICTURED] put together a large number of no-sew fleece blankets for children who receive our My Birthday Matters packages. “Thanks to Kimberly Deuster of Garrison Mill Education Foundation and the rest of the volunteers for restocking us with no-sew blankets, which our client children really love,” Brenda said. “It was a valuable service project. The kids get an A-plus!”
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO HELP SNGA IN THE YEAR AHEAD:
VOLUNTEER WITH OUR FURNITURE PROGRAM!
Demand for our furniture program is running high. We need more help from people who own pickup trucks and/or have the ability to move furniture.
It takes a lot of time and work to run the program. More hands mean faster results for our clients. If you’d like to help out with transport–or burn off some calories–on a Saturday (or another time on your own if you have a pickup truck) by pitching in, we’d love to have you.

HOLD A FACEBOOK BIRTHDAY FUNDRAISER
“I want to thank Simple Needs GA for all you did for my son and me. You helped me with a beautiful dresser set for my apartment, as well as providing a wonderful birthday package for my son’s seventh birthday! That was so awesome of you guys. I appreciate it wholeheartedly. You’re amazing!”
Receiving notes like this is part of what keeps our donors and volunteers so motivated to give back to our community. A great way you can help support our programs is by holding a Facebook birthday or other fundraiser.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH RECURRING DONATIONS
If you regularly make donations to Simple Needs GA (or would like to!), we’d love it if you would consider making your donation automatically recur each month. Just go to SimpleNeedsGA.org, click one of the “donate” buttons and then check “make this donation recurring (monthly).”
You can use your credit card or a PayPal account for these donations. However, if you plan to routinely donate online to SNGA, you might consider signing up for a PayPal Giving Fund account. PayPal Giving Fund charges no fees to enrolled charities, so all of your donations will go to SNGA!
Of course, you could also just mail a monthly check to:
