“Is this really for me?”

“This is the best thing. Every little detail; this is amazing!”

Simple Needs GA  (SNGA) helps those living in Cobb County homeless shelters by providing some basic hygiene, plus other, items. When new guests arrive, they often do not have much with them, sometimes only the clothes on their backs. To help them feel more comfortable–and “de-stress” a little–SNGA provides them with a duffel bag containing full-size toiletries and other items they will need during their stay at the shelter. We need approximately 1,400 bags each year for the three local shelters we currently support. “The bag has all the hygienic items that I needed. It was loaded! I haven’t had to buy anything.”

If you or your church or other group would be interested in helping with this project, either by purchasing items, donating money toward the project, or buying all the items and putting the bags together, please contact Brenda at A small or large contribution will really make a difference to the residents of these shelters.

“I would like to thank everyone involved with Simple Needs GA for their generosity, compassion and loving spirit. The result of everyone working together as one team to bring assistance/supplies to the homeless families and those in need is amazing. I cannot thank you enough for the blessings and spiritual encouragement you’ve given to me personally. Brenda, you have a heart of gold, and the entire team has made returning to work and rebuilding my life, seemingly from a point of loss and devastation, much easier to hold onto the Lord’s glorious promises for me. By the way, the items in your duffel bags are FANTASTIC! Thanks again.”

“I want to express my gratitude and thankfulness. I came to the shelter feeling lonely. I felt no one cared. Then I was given a bag with personal items and toiletries, and I was so moved by the gift that I began to cry. I was surprised at my emotions, but the thought was, ‘Someone thought of me.’ It’s the small things sometimes that make a difference. Love and compassion can be shown in so many ways. I want to thank you. God bless you all!”

“The bag is nice; I can take it to work.”
