Welcome to Simple Needs GA!

Our mission is to meet the simple needs of children, people experiencing homelessness, and others in need, while inspiring our community to do the same.

While agencies focused on these vulnerable populations are doing great work, most focus on the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and job training. SNGA seeks to “fill in the cracks” by meeting other unmet, but important, needs. It is in these simple acts—bringing a tent to a person living in the woods, or providing birthday gifts to a homeless child—that we help connect people in need with the services that can improve their lives._SCD6888

Comfort Kits: Duffel bags packed with full-sized toiletries and other items for residents at local homeless shelters, who often arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs.

Simply Sheltered: Tents, sleeping bags, tarps, candles and other essential items to help people experiencing homelessness be more comfortable.

Shoe Them Love: New shoes so that disadvantaged children no longer have to wear only hand-me- downs. We collect $25 gift cards or new shoes. The kids are so excited that they even keep the box!

My Birthday Matters: Through school social workers and shelter staff, we obtain wish lists from homeless kids and then provide them with birthday gifts and other useful items.ThankYou

Simple Household Needs: Provides cleaning kits (those supplies are not covered by food stamps) and gives people emerging from homelessness furniture, beds and other items they need to turn a new house or apartment into a “home.”

Uniforms for Excellence: Helps Cobb County schoolchildren “dress for success” by providing them with required school uniforms their families struggle to afford. Donors provide gently used khakis, skirts and polo shirts that meet the requirements of individual schools. Alternately, they fund the purchase of brand-new uniforms.

Hi, Adriaian. We help people in Cobb County and rarely go out to Atlanta. We don’t have volunteers in that area.

I’m sure there are others who can help. If you call the United Way – hotline is 211 – they can give you agencies which can assist you with toiletries and other things.

      Best wishes to you!

Hello Brenda, You are a great inspiration to me.. When we first moved here from Ohio, into a big house we cant afford still cant. The only free money we have is to put gas in the car to get back and forth to work. Even though Brenda’s agency help the homeless she helped our family.. I cried with joy, she not only provided toys some clothing for my two grandson’s she also gave me a gift card, I was so excited. We also needed toddler beds and she also provided them for us. I have needed her/SNGA help to survive and she has been there with a big smile for us in our time of need. Thank you Brenda we love you for all you do with a open heart.
